—THAKOON ADDITION | PRE-FALL 2012
Youthful and wearable looks fill Thakoon Addition’s pre fall 2012 collection where he provides the perfect wardrobe for a “flirty, cheeky military girl” as he calls it. The designers secondary line took silhouette cues from the designers’ main collection, inflating many pieces with a soft volume. Thakoon explored fun, flirtatious jumpsuits, lightweight anoraks, and flower-camouflage trousers.
—THE CHROMATIC TYPEWRITER
What a lovely new use for an old gadget. Washington-based painter Tyree Callahan has modified a traditional typewriter and turned it into a painting machine, or “Chromatic Typewriter”. Callahan submitted the beautiful typewriter as part of the 2012 West Prize competition, an annual art prize that’s determined by popular vote. The keys on the vintage 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter have each been replaced with a different pad of color to give some rather interesting results!
—STREET MEMORIES BY NACHO ARMAECHEA
How amazing are these? Nacho Ormaechea, a Spanish Graphic Designer and artist based in Paris, explores the narrative of his subjects and himself through a digital composite of photography and graphic montage. He mixes the principles of both fields to drive his camera. Every piece is a new concept as the unknown individual reflects a new message to Nacho. It is all a bit of technique and improvisation. It is all a little of today and a lot of yesterday.

—Cher Lloyd | Superhero (snippet)
After all of the controversy surrounding her previous single, Swagger Jagger (which we still felt was pretty catchy!), Cher Lloyd is taking it back to the basics with her possible next single Superhero. And it’s actually amazing! Check out the live acoustic session she did of half of the song last week above. Thoughts?
